This popular Telugu cinema is about a young man who is going to be married off in a few days and has a lot of time to discover love. He learns about it from books and internet videos that he watches on his laptop. In the end though, he falls for his cousin who teaches him lessons in life. This story is very famous among youngsters in India and has been adapted into many films since its release in 1997. Karthik is a young man who has been brought up in the US and has been on his own for a year after he lost his Grandfather. In that time, he has had many relationships with women, but none of these relationships have worked out because of his lack of maturity. On the day he finds out that he is going to get married soon and return to India and live with his cousin and her husband, Karthik finds out that the girl he was going to marry is already in love with another man. He decides to live in India for some more time by borrowing money from his friend and goes looking for a bride during this time. One day Karthik goes to a coffee shop where he gets to know of Srinivas, a young man who works there. He tells Karthik that he has been working there for some time and has not been able to get married off yet. Karthik then inquires into why this is and Srinivas says that the only women who come into the coffee shop are either over-weight or divorced and Srinivas is not interested in becoming friends with such women.Karthik then asks him what kind of woman does he like and what does he want in a girl. Srinivas then places the requirements that he wants a girl who is slim, fair and taller than him by at least 5 inches. He also says that the girls should only like him for his personality and not for his looks. Karthik tells him that he knows of such a women and he will introduce them to each other. Karthik then goes to his cousin's house, which is also where he is staying, to get her laptop so that her husband can repair it. The cousin informs him that she has not seen the laptop for over 5 days now and Karthik realizes that she must have borrowed it by mistake when she was at their house before. She then asks Karthik if he can give her the laptop and he says that he has gone out to buy a television set and it should be coming in an hour. She then tells him that she will be gone by then and has already packed her bags for the trip back to the US. He tells her that she can leave everything there with him, but she says that it's too late for her to pack all of this stuff now because she won't be there by 6 pm when she has to catch a 6 pm flight. She goes on to tell him that if he didn't have any other option he could at least call up Karthik's mother who is staying in America and ask her to send somebody over.
